Design Workshop at MIT Migration Summit
On April 25 & 26, as part of MIT Migration Summit, Hello Future will present a participatory design workshop and journey mapping from the lens of refugee teens. The session aims to explore the opportunities and challenges for the forgotten cohort of refugee teens. The summit will focus on education and workforce development in the face of displacement.
Hello Future will host a two day participatory design workshop and journey mapping that starts with the refugee learners, where participants will assume and embody the perspective of a 14 year old refugee student and journey map our way through a myriad of obstacles and chart educational and livelihood opportunities. Our goal for the journey mapping experience is to uncover a broad spectrum set of essential skills that are critical but often overlooked to all successful learning and development. The workshop will include a short storytelling course and the participants will share the learning journey in a narrative form.
